Julia is a committed professional with over 15 years of experience in sustainable buildings and ESG integration. Through her work she aims to accelerate the movement towards decarbonization in the built environment. Julia's knowledge of ESG and sustainability best practices, programs, metrics, international reporting standards, green financing frameworks, communications development, and employee engagement helps organizations take impactful action.
Board of Directors

Sheena Sharp is a Licensed architect and a fellow of the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada, and a past president of the Ontario Association of Architects. She is the principal at Coolearth Architecture inc., located in Toronto, has specialized in low carbon design since 2008. Coolearth currently works on affordable housing and institutional projects.

Jon is a clean energy and sustainable development leader specializing in renewable energy, low-carbon buildings, modular housing, energy retrofits, and cleantech finance. He currently supports development, operations, and financing at CABN and serves on the Green Municipal Fund Council and Investment Committee. Jon is also a Board Member of Toronto 2030 District and advises cleantech startups advancing resilient, net-zero communities.

Peter Love provides strategic advice on climate/energy issues with a focus on energy efficiency in the built environment. He serves on five boards and has had leadership roles with advocacy organizations, for profit energy service companies, government agencies and teaching at universities and is the author of a textbook on energy efficiency. Early in his career, he was with the team at Pollution Probe in 1972 that developed the 3 R’s: reduce, reuse, recycle.

Cara Sloat is a mechanical engineer who focuses on practical solutions that support human health, energy efficiency, and long‑term value, with an emphasis on integrating mechanical systems with architecture. Cara is a Principal at Hammerschlag & Joffe, a Toronto‑based mechanical and electrical engineering firm working across Canada. She volunteers with Toronto’s 2030 District and is a University of Waterloo alumna.

Jeff leads Responsible Development strategy for the redevelopment of YZD the 370-acre Downsview Airport Lands in Toronto. He brings two decades of experience with sustainability leadership positions at BOMA Toronto, the Canada Green Building Council (CaGBC), Sustainable Buildings Canada, and Toronto 2030 District. He is a frequent speaker, writer, and advisor focused on the intersection of sustainable cities, public policy, and innovation.
Special Advisor

James Meadowcroft is a Professor at Carleton University specializing in sustainable development, energy transitions, and climate policy. A former Canada Research Chair in Governance for Sustainable Development, his work focuses on decarbonization pathways, energy systems, and socio-technical transitions. He is Research Director at The Transition Accelerator and leads Efficiency Canada, advancing policy and collaboration to support Canada’s transition to a net-zero economy.
