Peer-to-Peer Learning + Fuel Switching Pilots

Toronto 2030 District is seeking small commercial buildings in Toronto to participate in heat pump fuel switching pilot projects. This initiative supports the transition from natural gas heating to efficient electric heat pumps.

Through these pilots, we aim to gather real-world performance data, strengthen support programs, and help building owners successfully implement low-carbon solutions.

  • Property is under 50,000 sq. ft. and classified as B or C Class commercial
  • Located within or near Central West Toronto
  • Natural gas HVAC equipment nearing end-of-life
  • Project team includes HVAC supplier, engineer, architect, or energy consultant
  • Building owner or investor ready to transition to electric heat pumps
