Hailley Delisle to Speak on June 15
Hailley Delisle, sustainability coordinator in the Tompkins County Office of Planning and Sustainability, will be our featured speaker for the upcoming quarterly meeting.
Hailley heads up the County’s Business Energy Advisors (BEA) program, which works to help business owners and facility managers understand their energy options and determine energy goals for new building projects, major renovations, and expansion projects in Tompkins County.
At the June 15th meeting, Hailley will discuss the BEA program’s purpose, who can participate, and how it contributes to the County’s overall effort to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. She will also share some of the program’s success stories so far.
Working with the relevant parties in the earliest stages of project design, when it is most cost-effective to incorporate energy efficiency improvements, Hailley brings in energy experts to help guide the process. Participants in the program can receive up to $1,500 in energy consulting fees for buildings at or under 2,000 square feet and up to $3,000 for buildings greater than 2,000 square feet.
Not only will building owners and managers be more aware of their options to save energy and operational costs, they will also receive advice on incentives, financing, and application processes. In carrying out these projects, they will contribute to the environmental and energy goals of our community.
Following Hailley’s presentation, there will be an update from BlocPower’s Ithaca program manager, Ethan Bodnaruk, about the progress being made on the city’s building electrification campaign.
Be sure to attend the 2030 District quarterly meeting on June 15 to hear Hailley explain how the Business Energy Advisors program works and how it can help you, as well as the important update from BlocPower.
