The annual conference of Engineers for a Sustainable World (ESW), an international nonprofit network of students and professionals, took place at Cornell University last month.
The four-day gathering featured keynote speakers, breakout sessions, design challenges, a career fair, poster session, and awards ceremony.
Peter Bardaglio, executive director of the Ithaca 2030 District, gave one of the three keynotes. His talk, “Connect and Collaborate: Climate Action and the Energy Transition in Ithaca, NY,” took place on the last day of the event. Much of the discussion with students explored ways they could engage in the climate and clean energy movement.
