This new guide offers practical insights for property managers looking to reduce operating costs and improve sustainability. The guide explains how solar energy systems—especially photovoltaic (PV)—can be easily retrofitted to most commercial buildings, even in BC’s cloudy climate. It outlines mounting options for flat and sloped roofs, utility approval processes, and key financial incentives, including rebates and tax credits. With typical payback periods under 10 years and strong returns, solar is a smart investment. The guide also covers battery storage, demand charge reduction, and contractor selection to help ensure smooth implementation.
