The Greater Victoria 2030 District is a public-private-nonprofit collaborative working to transform Greater Victoria’s existing commercial and institutional buildings into high performing, net-zero and climate resilient buildings.
Our mission is to provide leadership, resources, and collaborative partnerships that accelerate emissions and energy reduction across existing commercial and institutional buildings in Greater Victoria, with a growing focus on resilience, equity, and affordability.

Hosted by BOMA BC, the Greater Victoria 2030 District consists of over 35 properties (60 buildings) with over 5 million square feet of space, represented by 15 major property managers in the region. Buildings include local recreation and conference facilities, public and private offices, retail shopping, private residences and even a brewery.
The Greater Victoria 2030 District supports commercial property owners and managers in turning benchmarking data into practical action — helping them cut energy use, carbon pollution, and operating costs, while strengthening building performance across the region.
As building performance benchmarking and reporting expand in Victoria and Saanich, and as voluntary and bylaw benchmarking grows elsewhere in Greater Victoria, we serve as the action-oriented partner that helps translate information into results.
Through education, curated sector insights, peer learning, and practical one-on-one guidance, the 2030 District helps building owners and managers:
In partnership with Building Benchmark BC, we also support voluntary benchmarking support and share aggregated local insights so members can compare performance with similar buildings and focus on the highest-impact improvements.
Whether reporting is required or voluntary, the 2030 District helps commercial properties move toward measurable performance gains and long-term resilience.
