Energy Benchmarking for Multi-family Buildings: Save Time, Energy and Money

The Burlington Electric Department and the Burlington 2030 District hosted this energy benchmarking training with a multi-famly focus on Wednesday, November 9 from 12-1:15pm EST.

Are you a multi-family property owner, builder, energy efficiency professional, or member of the Burlington 2030 District? Learn how to benchmark your building’s energy usage quickly and painlessly so you can save time, energy and money using Energy Star Portfolio Manager (ESPM). Training goals include understanding the benefits of benchmarking, being able to create building profiles, tracking energy use, and creating building energy performance reports via ESPM. Also, learn how to acquire aggregated tenant utility data from the utilities and receive automatic uploads from BED and VGS.

The training also covers common opportunities for ways that multi-family property owners and managers can work to reduce building energy load, thereby increasing occupant comfort and saving money.

The training is led by Krystina Kattermann, the Burlington 2030 District Project Engineer and an Engineer for Cx Associates. Darren Springer, General Manager of Burlington Electric Department, also helps to introduce the event.
