Before joining the 2030 District, Daniel worked for nonprofits focusing on clean energy equity, salmon conservation, and transportation. Daniel holds a B.A. in Political Science from the University of British Columbia and an M.P.A. from the University of Washington.
Prior to joining the 2030 team, Riley worked for Washington Physicians for Social Responsibility and Senator Reuven Carlyle’s office in Olympia. Riley graduated from the Stanford University Earth Systems program.
Lydia graduated from the University of Denver with a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science and Sustainability. She served as the programming lead for the DU Center for Sustainability.

Board of Directors
Before joining TCC, Kirk served as the Executive Director at Commute Seattle.
Prior to Alex’s 2023 run for Seattle City Council, she served for four years as the
executive director of Transportation Choices Coalition and for four years as the
founding executive director of the First Hill Neighborhood Association. She has a
proven track record of increasing the impact of the organizations she’s led,
building partnerships, and working closely with diverse stakeholders to achieve
results. She knows the issues and players well and is excited to hit the ground
running in the new year to advance Commute Seattle’s strategic priorities and support the DTA.
Matthew is a licensed broker in the State of Washington and held licenses in Oregon and California. Matthew has sat on the Board of the Bellevue Chamber of Commerce, was a member of the Transportation Committee for the City of Bellevue and similar roles in various other organizations throughout his career.
Laura’s background in Project Management enables her to see the big picture and better understand a Client’s bottom line. Her passion for steering the construction industry towards an environmentally-sound future is grounded in her belief that it is our responsibility to care for our planet, making it better for the next generation.
