June 24 @ 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm PDT

Free

Join us at UW’s Global Innovation Exchange building on Tuesday, June 24th for the next event in our PCBs in Building Materials Workshop Series.

Supported by the WA State Department of Ecology and the EPA, this comprehensive workshop will cover the dangers and risks of PCBs (polychlorinated biphenyls), how to protect your tenants and our environment when they’re detected, and best practices for testing, reporting, and disposing of PCB-containing materials.

We’re also excited to announce two very special guest stars—Julianne Ubigau and her detection dog, Jasper—who’ll be discussing and demonstrating a groundbreaking approach to PCBs testing! You aren’t going to want to miss this.

What to Expect:

  • Presentation & Q&A: Gain insights on key topics informed by environmental professionals and remediation experts, followed by an interactive Q&A.
  • Gain Valuable Knowledge: Attendees will learn about regulatory requirements, best management practices, and resources developed by the WA State Department of Ecology and the EPA for identifying and managing PCB contamination effectively.
  • Networking Opportunity: Connect with peers and professionals over light refreshments

Whether you’re a building owner, contractor, property manager, environmental professional, or simply interested in learning more about PCBs, this event provides the tools and information you need to contribute to a safer, healthier environment. Register now to secure your spot!

Attendees at this event are eligible to receive USGBC and AIA continuing education credits.
