The Greater Victoria 2030 District will become a hub of thriving high performance buildings that are reducing their contributions to climate change and increasing their resilience. We unite the private and public sector in catalyzing transformative change to achieve this goal.
Hosted by BOMA BC, the Greater Victoria 2030 District consists of over 35 properties (60 buildings) with over 5 million square feet of space, represented by 15 major property managers in the region. Buildings include local recreation and conference facilities, public and private offices, retail shopping, private residences and even a brewery – most of which are already on track to achieve performance targets.
District members participate in activities and services with the aim to pledge their building(s) to meeting significant reductions in energy and greenhouse emissions as established by Architecture 2030 in its 2030 Challenge for Planning.
We publish Progress Reports regular to track our portfolio performance against benchmarks and targets.
See Our Team page to meet our management team, and learn more about our participating properties and sponsors.
The Greater Victoria 2030 District is looking for forward-thinking property owners and managers in Greater Victoria and their buildings to join the network, and work to develop a world-class hub of buildings moving towards a zero-carbon future by reducing operational energy use and decarbonizing buildings to ensure healthy built environments and environmental resilience and adaptation.
