The Detroit 2030 District is a private-public partnership comprised of three member types:

Building Members, who are property owners and managers that own, manage, and/or develop real estate within Detroit.
Professional Stakeholders, who are for-profit businesses that provide related services within Detroit and financially support the Detroit 2030 District.
Community Stakeholders, who represent either non-profit organizations and/or local government and collaborate with the Detroit 2030 District.

If you are a business that is interested in joining as a Statewide Partner to support all Michigan 2030 Districts, you may find more information here. Michigan 2030 Districts include Detroit, Grand Rapids, Ann Arbor/Washtenaw, and Lansing.

1. BUILDING MEMBER FORM

There are two membership options available for Building Members:

Basic membership (free)
Gold membership ($500 annual fee; $350 for nonprofits and houses of worship)

Gold Members will receive assistance with complying with the City of Detroit’s Energy & Water Benchmarking Ordinance.

Free assistance with complying with the City of Detroit’s Energy & Water Benchmarking Ordinance is available to nonprofits, affordable multifamily, houses of worship, and childcare facilities.

Through a grant from the Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy (EGLE), we have partnered with the City of Detroit through December 2026 to offer free one-on-one technical assistance to reduce technical barriers and accelerate the compliance of the ordinance.
