BUILDING EDUCATION SERIES 2025: BUILDING ELECTRIFICATION

July 10 @ 8:00 am - 10:00 am UTC+0

Building electrification is a hot topic and can be a tool to decarbonize our built environment. Technology is changing rapidly and we’re here to give you the most current information and keep you up-to-date. In this session our speakers will discuss building electrification from various perspectives.  Toronto has done extensive research and planning around electrification and heat pump technology.  We’ll hear about their success and next steps.  Cleveland Public Power will share with us their perspective as a local utility.  We will learn how they are preparing for the future and how their efforts support the City of Cleveland’s climate action plans. Trane will offer insight into new technologies and the benefits of heat pumps, highlighting a case study for us to better understand the process for conversion. Our distinguished lecturer from ASHRAE will review the regulations and discuss where heat pumps and electrification make the most sense.  He will use case studies to walk us through the climate zones and discuss climate based solutions for decarbonization. Even if you’re a seasoned expert, we’re sure you will leave this session with a better understanding of the most current information on building electrification.
