BUILDING EDUCATION SERIES 2024: HOW BUILDING CODES CAN CHANGE THE GAME

July 11 @ 8:00 am - 10:00 am UTC+0

Virtual Event:

Building codes set the minimum standard for building efficiency.  In this session we will discuss how code has contributed to creating a healthier, safer, and more operationally efficient built environment. We will review how simply adopting the most current code can help us build better buildings and begin to address the built environment’s impact on climate change.  Our speakers will compare how Ohio code, which has recently been updated, stacks up to the rest of the country and the midwest.  We will learn how Boston was able to incorporate electrification in their code requirements which supports their long term municipal sustainability goals.  We will leave time for an open discussion and Q&A on how building codes can help us mitigate the effects of climate change.
