Energy Audit Program
Greater Cleveland Partnership is managing FirstEnergy’s free energy audit program. Here is what you need to know:
- The audited building must be 10,000 sq.ft- 500,000 sq.ft.
- First Energy must be the energy provider for the facility to be audited.
- The company must be a COSE/GCP member.
- The company must provide the last 3 electric and gas bills.
- The company must engage in a pre-audit call.
- The company must provide access to the facility once an audit date is set

Ohio Department of Development
Programs require an ASHRAE Level II energy audit with measures totaling at least 15% energy savings and 15 year ROI or better.
- State Energy Program – Grants of $100k to $200k (may also cover audit fees). Open year round until funds are assigned.
- Energy Loan Fund: Loans of $250k to $1 mill. Open year round until funds are assigned.
- Advanced Energy Fund: Grants of $250k – $2.5 mill. Open once per year and will reopen sometime in the fall. This is highly competitive.
- Loan Loss Reserve Program: offers a credit enhancement of up to 50% of efficiency projects.
