Beyond LEED: Wellness and the Urban Office<\/h3>\n

With the average employee spending 90% of their time inside, the built environment has now become our natural environment. On\u00a0January 15th\u00a0Stamford 2030 joined AIA Connecticut<\/a> and CTGBC<\/a> to explore the pillars of a healthy work environment through the\u00a0WELL Building Standard<\/a>.\u00a0The COOKFOX Office was the first LEED Platinum office facility in New York City. But Platinum designation was just a starting point: the design also met the emerging WELL Building Standard and was awarded WELL Gold level certification in April 2018.\u00a0This moderated presentation and discussion explained\u00a0the science of biophilia and introduced key concepts of human health and wellness that link\u00a0advanced design with environmental sustainability.<\/p>\n
