SUMMARY:Philadelphia 2030 Transportation Survey Launch
DESCRIPTION:Join us to learn how to reduce transportation emissions at the building level!\nTransportation is the second largest source of carbon emissions in Philadelphia. A key feature of Philadelphia’s 2030 District is a pledge to reduce transportation emissions by 50% by 2030. \nIn the past\, we’ve measured progress toward meeting our transportation emissions goal by analyzing regional commuting survey data to gauge how trends in transportation are progressing and whether commuters in and out of the district are utilizing less carbon-intensive modes of transit. But this tells us very little about transportation emissions on an individual building level. \nThat’s where our new transportation survey and emission calculator comes in! \nThe survey will give a more accurate snapshot of commuting patterns\, emissions\, and policies to inform what changes would most benefit buildings owners and residents. \nWe are inviting all of our 2030 District Partners and GBU community to our virtual Transportation Emissions Survey launch event to walk through best practices for survey administration and goals for this new tool. \nWe’ll also discuss clean transportation achievements across Philadelphia and hear from the Clean Air Council’s Cleaner Commute Program team to learn more about the resources available to make your commute and transportation options as green as possible. \n\n\n\n\nEvent Date:\n\nWednesday\, May 25\, 2022 – 12:00pm to 1:00pm\n\n\n\nEvent Location:\n\nhttps://greenbuildingunited.org/events/https-greenbuildingunited-org-events-philadelphia-2030-district-transportation-emissions
