SUMMARY:Adopt A River with Lansing's Board of Water & Light
DESCRIPTION:A LANSING 2030 DISTRICT PARNER EVENT | Register here \nAdopt a River was started by BWL in 1994 to restore pride in one of our area’s great natural resources. The event encourages businesses\, unions\, schools and civic groups to adopt sections of the Grand and Red Cedar rivers and to keep their banks and nearby areas clean and free from litter. \nHelp us keep our local rivers and adjacent spaces beautiful! As a participant\, please bring your own gloves for clean up! \nRiver Clean-up from 8:30am – 11am \nSince the program began\, nearly 500 Adopt a River volunteers each year have cleared thousands of pounds of litter from the rivers and banks. They are a major reason why Lansing resources are being returned to their natural beauty and why the event has been award winning\, setting an example for other communities to follow. \nFor more information or to sign up for the next river cleanup\, please call: Erik Larson\, Impression 5 Science Center\, 517-485-8116 ext. 143 or visit www.impression5.org.
