PJM is our regional transmission organization, managing the transmission of electricity and operating the grid.\u00a0 PJM capacity\u00a0auction resulted in a surge by nearly tenfold the compared to current cost.\u00a0 This will mean higher prices for all businesses in the\u00a0PJM service area starting June of 2025.\u00a0 This includes Ohio.\u00a0 In this session we will examine the causes for this spike – such as the retirement of certain power plants, the surging demand for electricity, and the implementation of market reforms. We will also discuss how you can proactively plan efficiency projects and reduce your peak load contribution to mitigate this cost for your property.
