Join us for a tour of the Maltz Performing Arts Center.\u00a0 This is a 2022 Green Building Challenge winner!\u00a0 This project’s focus was to consolidate Case Western Reserve University’s music and performing arts programs at one location. We’ll learn about the unique design features that compliment the temple’s distinctive golden-hued dome.\u00a0 This building achieved exemplary energy performance, targeting a 30% reduction from similar buildings, through the HVAC system selection and tight building envelope. Major program elements include the largely opaque boxes sheathed in panels of limestone reminiscent of the stonework on the original temple. Stone-faced portions, including the lobby, are separated with floor-to-ceiling glass, creating the effect of a solid form with a crystalline core.\u00a0 Join us to learn about this LEED Gold project’s many sustainable features and tour this facility with magnificent views of the Nord Family Greenway.<\/p>\n
