SUMMARY:BUILDING EDUCATION SERIES 2026: HEAT RECOVERY TACTICS FOR ENERGY EFFICIENCY
DESCRIPTION:Are you wasting energy that you’ve already paid for? Join us as we delve into effective heat recovery methods to enhance efficiency and lower operating costs. Our speakers will cover the fundamentals of heat recovery and outline the available products and systems\, including code compliance. They will guide us in assessing whether heat recovery is suitable for your building and provide a comprehensive overview of the steps needed to create an effective system.  Additionally\, we will explore how heat recovery strategies can be applied on a larger\, district wide scale. Presenters will share multiple case studies to illustrate successful projects\, including how data centers and other high-energy users can benefit from this approach. SUMMARY:TOUR SERIES 2026: NEORSD University Circle Walking Tour
DESCRIPTION:Our area has a combined sewer system. That means during strong storms\, sewage can overflow and contaminate Lake Erie.  We have a responsibility to protect our lake.  Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District has made significant strides in addressing this overflow\, including a Green Infrastructure Grant that funds initiatives that install bioswales\, cisterns\, permeable pavers\, vegetated roofs\, and other projects that reduce runoff into the sewer system. \nWe will take a walk through University Circle to visit exemplary projects that have successfully mitigated water runoff. Included will be the Green Building Challenge winning project in the water management category: University Circle\, Inc.’s permeable pavers. We will also visit the Cleveland Museum of Natural History and the Western Reserve Historical Society’s projects. \nPlease wear comfortable shoes for walking. \nWe will meet in front of the Cleveland Museum of Natural History to start the tour promptly at 4:30. \nThe tour will take place from 4:30 – 5:30 PM. \nHappy hour afterward from 5:30 – 6:30 PM sponsored by Karpinski Engineering\, a Cleveland 2030 District partner. \nREGISTER HERE (be sure to register for the happy hour if you plan to attend)
