DESCRIPTION:We will get a tour of Playhouse Square\, one of the largest theater districts in the country\, second only to New York City.  We’ll learn of their rich history\, including their original construction in the 1920’s and the fire that closed the theaters in the 60’s.  It was a grassroots movement that saved our theater district.  Public-private partnerships raised enough money to renovate them to the stunning theaters we know today.  There is so much to learn and see\, not only about the renovations but also about Playhouse Square’s sustainability goals and how these theaters address energy efficiency. The tour will include Connor Palace\, KeyBank State\, Mimi Ohio\, and Allen theaters.
