SUMMARY:SUMMER SESSION: WIND AND SOLAR IN CLEVELAND
DESCRIPTION:In this session we’ll get an update on the LEEDCO project scheduled to install offshore wind turbines in Lake Erie. This project has met with some setbacks. We will discuss progress to date\, next steps and expected timeline going forward. We’ll also learn about how solar is making an impact in Cleveland\, with both individual solar installations and community solar projects. Our speaker will discuss HB 197 and what this legislation will mean for community solar in Ohio. Clean energy can have a positive impact on our economy\, energy burden\, and air quality. We will discuss these aspects of renewable energy and leave time for Q&A. \n1 continuing education credit for: BOMA\, AEE\, ASHRAE\, AIA HSW\, certificate of attendance available for self reporting for Professional Engineers\, LEED and others. \nZoom link will be sent the day before the event to those who register. \nSPEAKERS: \nJade Davis\, Senior Vice President\, Public Affairs & Energy Policy\, Port of Cleveland \nTristan Rader\, Councilman\, City of Lakewood / Director\, Solar United Neighbors \nREGISTER HERE
