SUMMARY:A2 ZERO's June Lunch and Learn: Building Electrification: An Owner's and Architects Guide to Heat Pumps
DESCRIPTION:Event Details: \nMost buildings run on multiple fuels: electricity to power lights and plug load and air conditioning and typically natural gas\, to power furnaces\, boilers and water heaters. \nThe persistent reliance on fossil fuels makes buildings one of the largest sources of planet-warming pollution. In order to meet local and county carbon neutrality goals\, building electrification is a key action step. Heat pumps are the enabling technology of widespread building electrification. Unlike conventional furnaces or boilers\, which burn fuels to produce heat\, heat pumps use electricity to send heat where it’s needed or remove it from where it’s not. \nThis session will look at VRF and Roof Top heat pump systems and their application to both new and renovated buildings with the goal of selecting the best system application and taking advantage of multiple efficiencies in design. \nSpeakers: \nMichael Sonk \nCommercial Area Sales Manager – MI \nMitsubishi Electric Trane HVAC US LLC \nColin Brown \nApplication Engineer\, Daikin Applied \n  \nCLICK HERE TO REGISTER!
